Chloé Lavest

About

I am a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University. I study discrimination perceptions of immigrants, children of immigrants and other minority groups in Europe, specifically in relation to their educational attainment (the so-called integration paradox) and in comparison to gender discrimination. I am supervised by Meta van der Linden and Frank van Tubergen.

My research interests also include social stratification and social mobility, as well as intergroup relations and perceived privilege among dominant groups in societies. I aim to use an intersectional lens in my research, and to analyze diverse types of (dis)advantages.
